Our production and our products are based on ancient alchemical knowledge that we combine with modern technology to produce unique handmade and holistic products. The alchemical principles can be traced back thousands of years to ancient Egypt. Regardless which plant we work with during our process, we always strive to maintain and strengthen the entire plant’s chemical profile. We are careful not to lose or destroy important molecules and enzymes that promote, uptake and effect. This holistic view and practice we apply to all of our products.
Modern Extraction Technology
Our custom-built machines are adapted to produce unique holistic craftsmanship after ancient alchemical principles. We use a type of soxhlet extraction technique that uses a vacuum pressure to circulate organic 96% ethyl alcohol through the plant material. With vacuum pressure, the boiling point of the alcohol is reduced to about 50 degrees, this helps to preserve many of the plant’s heat-sensitive components.
Alcohol: Of Plants – For Plants
Alcohol has been used for centuries for medical extracts & tinctures. Alcohol can be created from all different plants by fermentation and is therefore an optimal and natural solvent to extract with. It extracts both fat-soluble and water-soluble components and also maintains all compounds in the plant’s original ratios. The final product of the alcohol extraction is a black viscous paste or a strong alcohol tincture.
Environmentally friendly and healthy choices are at the core of Nirvaras philosophy. We strive to optimize both sustainability and quality, so you will only find organic ingredients in all of our products.
